Pacific

The 14 ACP countries of the Pacific have a combined total population of 10 million inhabitants, half of whom live in Papua New Guinea.

The region has substantial natural resources (fish, wood, agricultural produce, petrol, gas, minerals) but the fact that the islands are widely scattered is a major constraint in terms of economic and commercial development and integration.
