Madagascar: project of shrimps freezing by brine sprinkling


The CDE has supported the implementation of a process of shrimps freezing by brine sprinkling aboard trawlers.

This project has been carried out by the company Réfrigépêche-Ouest, under the supervision of the Groupement des aquaculteurs et pêcheurs de crevettes de Madagascar (GAPCM), with the expertise of France Agro Industrie (FAI).

This 35-minute video, produced by FAI, describes in details the technical process of freezing shrimps by brine sprinkling and the prototype used onboard the Malagasy trawler Cap Saint-André  of the company Réfrigépêche-Ouest.
